Later on the same day, at Sandling, 92022 on the 18:14 to DIRFT, which also originated at Paris Valenton. | From the archives: The 1990s - Some of my favourite locations | (27) |

A low winter sun catches the 10:14 SuO Dollands Moor to Wembley (another train originating in Muizen) near Sellindge. This bridge was rebuilt for the CTRL, you now need a ladder to get this shot. | From the archives: The 1990s - Some of my favourite locations | (26) |

Hello, welcome to my fotopic site. My name is Nick Slocombe I live and work in London and I’ve been passionately interested in railways, in all their forms, for most of my life.
I’ve fairly catholic tastes when it comes to taking pictures, all it needs is a steel wheel on a steel rail and some sun, but I do have a particular fascination for the railways of North and South America, and have been very fortunate and travelled quite extensively on both continents in the past 20 years or so.
Here in the UK I use Freightmaster to track freight operations, the FM Interactive service is indispensible for anyone photographing, or simply watching, freight trains
Some of the older pictures are from my slide collection whilst the most recent were taken on, firstly, a Nikon D70s and latterly a D300 digital SLR. |
